A clear licence model, priced for the deployment
CDP is source-available for evaluation and development. Production use is licensed per instance. We do not publish fixed prices because every deployment is sized by trust count, modules, support level and hosting model — but the structure is straightforward.
How the licence works
CDP is released under the Business Source Licence 1.1. You can read, evaluate, modify and run the code for non-production purposes without charge. A production instance requires a paid licence from VUIT Data Labs.
Each release has a Change Date. Four years after that date, that specific release converts automatically to Apache-2.0. This gives customers long-term portability without giving away the current commercial value of the latest build.
The licence is per production instance, not per seat. You may run as many non-production copies as you need for development, testing, training and disaster recovery within the same organisation.

Procurement approach
We are comfortable working through NHS frameworks, direct award or a competitive process. The usual starting point is a short evaluation and, where appropriate, a paid pilot with a pre-negotiated option to roll out under an enterprise agreement.
For national bodies, we can structure a single framework that sets standard terms and unit rates, with individual trusts then calling off instances under that agreement.
All contractual documents are reviewed by solicitors before signature. Nothing on this page is an offer or a binding quotation.
No price list
We do not publish fixed prices because a national platform, a single acute trust and a mental-health collaborative have very different support and scale profiles. Tell us the scope — instances, modules, SLA and term — and we will return a clear, itemised proposal.

Send us the scope you have in mind. We will come back with a proposed structure, not a hard sell.
